MOJO will perform at a special fundraiser for Swim Across America Fairfield County at the new Bosco’s Bar & Grill in Old Greenwich this Friday, June 6, from 9:00 – 12:00am.
Come and make (music) waves to fight cancer. There will be music, dancing, singing, great food, drinks and raffle prizes.
In addition to live and online donation opportunities, event attendees can buy song requests, birthday wishes and shout-outs, in advance through MOJO’s request form at app.nosongrequests.com/

Known for their genre-blending mix of live dance sets and Mo’s extraordinary voice, MOJO has become a staple of the party scene in Greenwich and beyond. Their unforgettable performances have entertained celebrities like Jerry Seinfeld and Amy Schumer, and they have jammed alongside entertainers like Jimmy Fallon, wowing crowds from the Greenwich Town Party to the Hamptons Hot List Party.
Muhammad Jami and Alan Johnson met in 2014 in New York’s Union Square where Mo was busking for tips. Alan, a drummer and also a music lawyer, was impressed and suggested they work together—and that first connection blossomed into a decades-long successful and sought-after collaboration and friendship.
This Friday, guests are encouraged to come early, enjoy dinner, then stay to groove with MOJO as they turn Bosco’s into the ultimate Friday night dance floor.
“This is the perfect way to kick off summer and support a great cause,” said Swim Across America Fairfield County event director Nancy Carr. “MOJO knows how to create an epic party, and every dollar raised helps us make waves to fight cancer.”
MOJO drummer Alan Johnson has deep roots in the local swim community. A former varsity swimmer and water polo player at Greenwich High School, under Coach Terry Low, Johnson comes from a family of standout swimmers. His sister, Linda Johnson, once won the United Way Swim from Island Beach to Byram Harbor—beating the men’s division—and his brother Carl captained both the swim and water polo teams.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Swim Across America Fairfield County’s 19th annual open water swim on June 21 at Dolphin Cove in Stamford, where hundreds of swimmers will dive in to raise funds for the Swim‘s local beneficiary Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, based in Stamford. Throughout the past 19 years, Swim Across America Fairfield County has raised more than $7.4 million for cancer research.
