Experience the Sound 2023 Set for Sunday at Greenwich Point Park

The Town of Greenwich Shellfish Commission’s “Experience the Sound” 2023 will take place at Greenwich Point Park on Sunday, June 25 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

The goal of the event is to introduce Greenwich residents and others, to available outdoor activities, marine sporting experiences, existing conservation and environmentally focused organizations in our area by showcasing the Individuals, Volunteer Societies and Municipal Commissions that promote them, thereby increasing the general public’s awareness of what each has to offer.

The event is free. No items are sold.

Participant’s tables are located around both the Innis Arden Cottage and the Old Greenwich Yacht Club, exhibiting their information and a shuttle bus rotates between both areas.

The event also coincides with the Summer opening day of the Bruce Museum’s Seaside Center.

Exhibitors include Trout Unlimited, Greenwich Shellfish Commission, Archaeology, Greenwich Sailing School, Greenwich Conservation Commission, Versailles Farms, NOAA, Greenwich Audubon, and Soundwaters Kelp Farm.

At the Old Greenwich Yacht Club location, commercial Shellfishermen will “host” a (free) raw bar of clams and oysters harvested from local waters StellaMar’s Oyster Boat, Greenwich Police Boat and Atlantic Clam Farms Shellfish barge will be moored at the OGYC dock for visitors to sight and board.
