Greenwich Natives Celebrate One Year Anniversary of Local Marketing Company

Craig Jones and Jessica Reid, Greenwich natives and business partners, are celebrating the one-year anniversary of their local marketing firm, Greenwich Point Marketing.

“We’ve been friends since physics class at Greenwich High School,” Craig said.  “It was a few years ago that we began discussing the concept of opening a marketing firm. We saw businesses and non-profits that could really use our expertise in social media marketing, plus our non-profit experience together at the Greenwich Boy Scouts forced us to learn how to get the most out of a small marketing budget.”

Different than most digital marketing companies, Reid and Jones knew they wanted to focus their services on companies and non-profits that were local.

“We enjoy meeting with our clients in person and getting to see what they do firsthand, especially if they’re based in our own community.  You can’t do that through calls and video conferences.  Nothing replaces face-to-face contact.”

While Greenwich Point Marketing offers services ranging from graphic design to website design, email marketing to content marketing, but the main focus is social media marketing.

Reid explained that just because someone has personal social media accounts, they don’t necessarily know what social media marketing is.

“While it’s free to create a Facebook page or Instagram account, it takes time and a strategy to get a return on your social media efforts,” Reid said.  “Often our clients either don’t have the time or don’t know the ins and outs of social media marketing.”

Jones and Reid not only help clients understand this type of marketing, but they use their expertise in social media advertising and live video streaming to further clients’ success.

The marketing duo have had a variety of clients in their first year.

“Some of the Greenwich Point Marketing highlights this year include working with the Greenwich Boat Show where we live video streamed from a drone.  We handled the social media efforts of St. Catherine of Siena’s Carnival of Fun and even provided marketing services for local election efforts,” said Jones.  “We’ve also taken on unique projects like the Greenwich Town Map and our ‘IN Greenwich’ radio show on 1490 WGCH, which we also live stream on Facebook.”

Greenwich Point Marketing managed all of the graphic design related work of the popular Greenwich Town Map that came out in the Spring of 2017.  They developed “IN Greenwich” as an effort to curate a wide variety of town events on different social media platforms.

When asked about their successful first year, the duo said they believe in themselves.  “What sets us apart is that we’re trustworthy and personable,” Reid said, adding that she and Jones clearly care about the town of Greenwich as we’ve chosen to raise their families in town.

For Halloween, Reid stopped at many of the Greenwich Point Marketing clients’ locations dressed as a Yeti, evidence that she and Jones not only can get the job done, but have fun at the same time.

Jones and Reid have entrepreneurial and non-profit backgrounds, making them passionate about helping small businesses and organizations reach their potential.

Their mantra is “Let’s get coffee,” as they enjoy meeting clients in person and getting to know more about the their local businesses.
