Greenwich Public Schools to Offer Free Narcan Training for Parents

Free Narcan (naloxone) training is now being offered to Greenwich Public School families after many successful staff training sessions. Narcan is a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

This comprehensive training covers identification of a suspected overdose to administration of Narcan and subsequent response.

The training also provides education surrounding substance use and its effect on our community.

Each participant will be sent home with their own Narcan kit.

There are two scheduled dates, two sessions per day, at Central Middle School, with more to be added throughout the year.

Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Please use the Google Form to register.

If you have any questions regarding the Narcan Training Program or the district’s Narcan initiatives, please contact Supervisor of School Health Services, Jessica Wieneke at [email protected].ct.us.
