On Friday morning a school bus bringing Hamilton Avenue first grade students to the Palace Theatre in Stamford for a field trip was involved in a minor accident.
An email to parents from Hamilton Avenue School principal, Cynthia Womak, indicated the children are fine and able to continue to Stamford to enjoy a ballet performance.
According to Greenwich Board of Education director of communication, Kim Eves, the minor accident took place near the entrance to I95 in Greenwich, and confirmed there were no injuries. A second bus was dispatched immediately and the children arrived on time to the ballet and were on their way back to school by noon.
