Three Youths Charged with Larceny, Burglary for Thefts from Cars in Greenwich

Three juveniles from Bridgeport were referred to Juvenile Court on Tuesday for larceny and burglary charges connected to thefts from motor vehicles in Greenwich.

At about 4:00am Tuesday morning police observed a car traveling in the Cos Cob area without its lights on.

When police tried to stop it, the car sped away. The three occupants abandoned the car after a minor collision disabled it.

The occupants were subsequently located and taken into custody.

Police recovered items that had been taken from local residents’ unlocked cars.

In addition to the larceny and burglary charges, the 15-year old operator of the vehicle faces numerous motor vehicle violations.

Local police are again reminding residents to lock their cars and take their keys when they park.
