Three More Luxury Vehicles Stolen; Cops Beg Residents to Stop Leaving Keys in Cars

Just last week Greenwich Police begged residents not to leave their keys in unlocked vehicles, and shared a list of 14 cars rummaged through and three cars stolen between Aug 26 and Sept 4.

On Monday Lt John Slusarz reported that three more cars were stolen over the weekend – all late model luxury cars.

The thefts all occurred in the overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Stolen: A 2013 BMW M3 from Tait Road, a 2019 BMW 5 Series from Keofferam Rd and a 2019 Mercedes Benz from Indian Drive.

“When people change their behaviors and stop leaving keys in their cars and start locking their cars, then this will stop,” Slusarz said. “But when we make it easy for our stuff to get stolen, these people will keep coming. The criminals are lazy and got two BMWs and a Mercedes this weekend.”
