BET chair David Weisbrod said Districts 1, 2 and 8 increased at faster rates, with District 1 increasing 37.7%, District 2 increasing 30.6% and District 8 increasing 30.7%. The town’s Assessor, Lauren Elliott said there were a bout 950 appeals to the Board of Assessment Appeals (whose members are elected) out of the town’s 20,000 parcels.

Scholarship money can make all the difference to a young person’s education. The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund grants scholarship money to qualifying students of current Greenwich Police Officers. They are asking the community to support the officers who help keep our community safe by contributing, however big or small, to the Fund for the future of the Officer’s children. The Fund relies on the support of both individual contributions as well as a group of local businesses.
