Greenwich 8th Grade Capstone Project Highlights Benefits of Pet Rescue

If you are not currently in a position to bring a pet into your home, you can still play a vital role in contributing to these wonderful organizations. Consider reaching out to these shelters to discuss temporary fostering opportunities, which get animals out of kennels and into a home environment. Additionally, these nonprofits rely entirely on financial donations, volunteer kennel assistance, and supplies from their public wish lists to keep their doors open.  – Ava Caroll

Greenwich’s New Lebanon School Named 2026 CT Blue Ribbon School

New Lebanon School is one of 11 elementary schools in Greenwich enrolling 363 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. Nearly 60% of students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. New Lebanon’s overall accountability index earned in 2024-25 was 89.3, above the state target of 85 and their highest to date. The school’s performance has been improving steadily in recent years. They earned School of Distinction status for the first time in 2021-22 and repeated their performance in 2023-24 and 2024-25.

International School at Dundee to Mark 25 Years of IB Excellence with Community Open House

Alumni, Families & Staff Invited to Celebrate Quarter Century of Global Education. ISD will host an Open House on Thursday, May 28, from 4:00-5:30pm at its campus at 55 Florence Road in Riverside, bringing together former and current families, alumni, staff, and neighbors to mark a milestone 25 years in the making.

Joe Kelly Secures Unanimous Nomination for State Senate

Republican delegates from Greenwich, North Stamford, and New Canaan convened in Greenwich Town Hall on Tuesday evening and unanimously nominated Joe Kelly as their candidate to represent the 36th District in the Connecticut State Senate. Mr. kelly is running to replace State Senator Ryan Fazio, also a Republican, who is vacating the seat to challenge incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont. Fazio took to the floor to nominate Kelly.
