Raphaël’s Bakery on Mason Street in Greenwich is hard to miss, with its orange awning, matching outdoor seating, and cheerful spring flowers. When customers step inside, they are greeted with a wide display of pastries, sandwiches, baguettes and baked goods. Amelie ordered a turkey and comté sandwich, Julia ordered a vegetarian sandwich with a chocolate chip cookie, and Sara enjoyed a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich.

The event will feature dozens of local, up-and-coming artists, exhibiting and selling their works to the public, including oils, acrylics, mixed media, photography, watercolors, wood carvings, drawings, giclée prints, decoupages and much more.
I recently conversed with a veteran teacher at a local school who said that she used to receive 30-40 handwritten thank you notes from students and teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
