Putnam Hill Hill Daughters of the American Revolution Announce Student Essay Contest

The Putnam Hill Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) had a kick off tea party and luncheon in honor of this year’s DAR national contest. Grades 5-8 “Enjoying a new Kind of Tea Party” (600-1000 words required)

In the 1770’s there was a movement of protest from the Colonists against the British due taxes and laws. Along the eastern coast a number of Patriots held “tea” parties.
