Theresa Hatton Joins Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors as Director of Professional Development & Industry Relations

Theresa Hatton, CAE, RCE of Greenwich is joining the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR)  as Director of Professional Development and Industry Relations.

In this newly created position, Hatton will be responsible for developing curriculum for the Hudson Gateway School of Real Estate and will be involved in HGAR’s Global Business Council and Commercial & Investment Division.

Prior to joining HGAR, Hatton served as the Executive Vice President of the Greenwich Association of Realtors and the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Inc. since 2010.  During this time she created a real estate school licensed by the CT Department of Consumer Protection and worked with local subject matter experts to create Continuing Education Classes that were relevant to members and provided CE credit. Before that, she was the Executive Vice President of the Williamson County Association of Realtors in Franklin, TN for four years.

In addition to her substantial Realtors Association management experience, Hatton worked as the Director of Chapter Support for the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers in Exton, PA and the Director of Marketing for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association in Silver Spring, MD.

Her prior experience includes Director of Marketing for TracerNet Corporation in Chantilly, VA and ViewGate Networks in Alexandra, VA  –  high-tech start-up corporations that excelled in the telecommunications market.  She was responsible for creating the brand, product branding, and development of marketing programs to capture venture investments, customers, and ultimately new owners of the organizations. Each company is now held as a portfolio product within Fortune 1000 companies.  She began her career as Marketing and Events Manager at The Dialog Corporation in Cary, NC.

Hatton currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Association of Realtors and Greenwich Green and Clean. She formerly served on the Board of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee of the National Association of Realtors, along with several other Association Executive committees and work groups.

In 2015, Hatton was recognized as “Association Executive Leader of Tomorrow” by the National Association of Realtors.

In 2013, Hatton was named a “40-under-40” award recipient in non-profit management by the “Fairfield Business Journal.”

She holds a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University and earned her MBA with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.

She is engaged to Bryan Tunney and has a twelve-year old daughter.

The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR) is a not-for-profit trade association consisting of over 11,000 real estate professionals doing business in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties as well as the Bronx and Manhattan.

It is the second largest Realtors Association in New York, and one of the largest in the country. The Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service (HGMLS), owned by HGAR, offers some 22,000 properties in the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. It is among the top 50 largest MLSs in the country.
