First Selectman Names Advisory Committee for Greenwich Plaza Rail Station Project

Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo has announced the formation of an advisory group which will help inform the planned redevelopment and expansion of the Greenwich Plaza and the Greenwich rail station in the downtown business district.

To gather information and input from various stakeholders, Mr. Camillo has enlisted the
assistance of members of the Board of Estimate and Taxation, the Representative
Town Meeting and the business community.

Plans to renovate and revitalize
Greenwich Plaza and the Greenwich train station were unveiled jointly last summer by
the Town and The Ashforth Company, which owns the property.

The Town owns the air rights above the Greenwich Plaza 1 and 2 complex on Railroad Avenue.

The advisory group members include BET members David Weisbrod and Leslie Tarkington; Michael Basham and Peter Berg, of the RTM Finance and Land Use committees, respectively; and is chaired by resident Ross Moore.

The group began its work with an initial meeting March 5.
