Blankley to Seek Dems Nod for 36th District CT Senate Seat

Statement from John Blankley

Today I am announcing that I will be seeking the nomination of my party for the 36th district Connecticut State Senate.

I join with others in thanking Senator Kasser for her service and wish her well in the future.

My purpose in running is to bring my known experience in both business and governmental affairs to Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan. I am running with an agenda of collaboration, bipartisan consensus, and a desire to bring positive change to our shared district. I will not hesitate to pursue what is right, but I will do so with the consent of the people, and always with an open mind.

I would like to provide a bridge to a new kind of leadership in Hartford, as a business-friendly Democrat having worked as a senior executive in major corporations and having founded a successful small business creating many new jobs in Connecticut. Our Governor has set us on the right track to overcome the pandemic, stabilize the state’s finances and promote growth. I will go to Hartford to support and further the Governor’s agenda.

Our district and our state need an experienced hand at this time and it would be my honor to serve.
