More than 100 local students and members of Abilis attend the second annual Together We Shine red carpet event at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. The event was put on by the Greenwich Junior United Way in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich and the Greenwich YWCA for Abilis.
“Together We Shine’ was an incredibly special evening for everyone involved, bringing together high school students and Abilis members for a fun night celebrating the differences, abilities, needs and dreams in everyone,” said Amanda Finn, Greenwich Junior United Way Program Coordinator.

“Having a special night out and walking the red carpet was very exciting for our Abilis clients,” noted Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Also the experience of being pampered with special clothes to wear, hair and makeup sessions before the event and even new shoes to wear, in addition to the ride in limousines and with car services, made the evening one of the most memorable.”
Hair and makeup was provided by Mane Event and wardrobe was provided by Neighbor to Neighbor and was available to Abilis members offsite, prior to the event. Shoes for the participants were donated by Marc Jacobs. Guests arrived at the event via limousine and VIP car service provided by CTNY Limo service, owned and operated by Alan and Helen Pesce.
