On Friday, Sept 11, the 25th anniversary of the attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people and shook the nation, The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich coordinated an event with Greenwich’s Police and Fire departments.
At 4:10, a number of emergency vehicles drove through the club’s front circle while all or members and staff stood outside to thank them for their bravery and dedication.
Club kids waved American flags and held up handmade posters sharing words of gratitude.
In addition to the parade of first responders waving and sounding their sirens, Mason the new Greenwich Police dog was on hand for children to meet.
