On Friday, Sept 11, the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people and shook the nation, The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich coordinated an event with Greenwich’s Police and Fire departments.
At 4:10pm, a number of emergency vehicles drove through the club’s front circle and past the Rebecca Breed clubhouse, while club kids and staff stood outside to thank them for their bravery and dedication.
Club kids waved American flags and held up handmade posters sharing words of gratitude.
In addition to the parade of first responders waving and sounding their sirens, Officer Dan Paladino brought black Lab, “Mason,” the new Greenwich Police dog was on hand for children to meet.
