Pedal Greenwich Community Bike Fest Set for Saturday, Sept 25

Join Pedal Greenwich on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, for a morning of free fun and activities in Old Greenwich aimed at bringing together everyone who supports a connected, friendlier community.

The event will take place in the parking area of Living Hope Community Church at 38 West End Avenue.

Light food and refreshments will be offered.

Participants are encouraged to ride bikes to the festival if they wish, but the event is not a bike ride. Come by car or other means if that’s more convenient.

Greenwich Hospital’s Community Health Experts are holding a free bike safety clinic with free, hourly raffles and essential safety gear.

Town bike safety teams will demonstrate their gear.

Greenwich Police will attend with their new e-bike unit. Officers will be available to answer questions about bicycling laws, routes and safety.

GEMS paramedics will show the advanced life-saving gear they pack on their bike patrols around Tod’s Point.

Also in attendance, Greenwich High School’s Environmental Action Club, which will discuss their work to reduce our environmental impact in our community and beyond.

And browse a showcase of bikes, e-bikes and biking equipment from Greenwich’s bicycle shops. You can test ride them too.

The Bike Fest will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30pm.

Rain date is October 9.
