It’s Shredding Time Again

Before you settle in for winter and the holidays, join Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board and Greenwich Green and Clean volunteers at a document shredding and food drive on Nov 7th. Two shredding trucks will shred your sensitive documents on site. In exchange, brighten the holidays of those in need with your food and toy donations.

Saturday, November 7th – 9:30am to 12:30pm, at Island Beach parking lot

* Shred up to 8 boxes of old files and personal documents on-site – cost is $2/box or 2 cans of tuna/fruit per box to benefit the Neighbor to Neighbor food bank

* Bring a few extra cans for donation to the Thanksgiving meal collection

* Bring a holiday smile to a child – U.S. Marines will be collecting unopened, unwrapped toys for the 2015 Toys for Tots collection.

Protect your identity, feed the hungry and make a child happy – all before noon on a Saturday morning! Your documents will be shredded in your presence, in exchange for presents! There is no requirement to donate, so if you just want to shred, the cost is $2 per box. But if you decide to contribute, you’ll feel good knowing you helped someone else celebrate the holidays.

This event is sponsored by The First Bank of Greenwich and Santaguida Sanitation. For information, email: [email protected]
