Bright and early Saturday morning the Greenwich Road Runners jingled all the way from the Sound Beach Fire house to Tod’s Point and back.
According to organizers Ric Wellington, Will Keown and Kiyan Asgari, there were actually three options – a 2.5 mile walk, a 2.5 short run and a 6.3 mile long run that extended around Tod’s Point before returning to the fire house.

Everyone was grateful to Jerry Cotrone and the Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department who opened up their truck bays for the group to gather out of the cold and enjoy coffee and bagels after the run, thanks to Rob Guerrieri from Upper Crust Bagels.
Greenwich Road Runners has a diverse membership drawn together by the joy of running and its healthful benefits. They have developed a special camaraderie that comes from like-minded people supporting, encouraging, and enjoying being around each other.
Greenwich Road Runners hosts group runs, fun runs, training runs and programs on the road and track, and social events.
They also engage in community activities to promote the benefits of running to improve the health of people in the community. Everyone over the age of 16 is welcome to join. Membership is on an annual basis. The annual fee is $25.
