On Christmas Eve at 3:30 p.m., Second Congregational Church of Greenwich (located at 139 East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich) will hold a no rehearsal children’s Christmas Pageant. All children and parents, family and friends visiting are welcome! If you would like to participate in the pageant, please arrive by 2:45 p.m. to receive a costume. There will be hot cocoa.

Senior Minister Maxwell Grant says, “As the accounts of the very first Christmas make clear, the birth of the Messiah is a time to share God’s love for all people. In that same spirit, we are eager to welcome not just ‘cradle Christians,’ but anyone who feels drawn to (or just curious about) the Christmas story. Its message of hope has never seemed more counter-cultural—or more necessary.”
At 6:30 p.m. the church will celebrate with a service of Lessons and Carols. Music Director Alexander Constantine will be joined by a brass quartet and other soloists. The service will also be available on the church’s YouTube channel, @2CCGreenwich.
Finally, at 11:00 p.m., the church will hold its traditional Candlelight service, concluding as always with congregational singing of “Silent Night” at midnight under the shadow of the church tower.
There is ample parking on campus.
The church encourages any who are seeking God during this special time of the year to join any of the above services. All are welcome!
