Register Today for Greenwich Rebounders Club 3-on-3 Corporate Challenge

The Greenwich Rebounders Club, founded to support the GHS girls and boys basketball teams who have traditionally done their fundraising separately, have space for a few more corporate teams to participate in the upcoming 3-on-3 corporate challenge.

Last year the GHS girls team made it to the FCIAC finals. Two years ago, the boys team did likewise. The Rebounders Club intends to boost both programs and generate enthusiasm for GHS basketball. Toward that end, the 3-on-3 corporate basketball tournament will take place at GHS, 10 Hillside Rd, on Oct. 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The tournament will follow a double elimination format and is slated to feature three divisions based on skill level.

The cost for the tourney is $1,500 per team will all proceeds going to the Greenwich Rebounder’s Club, and in turn support Cardinals’ boys and girls basketball.

“We are going to help kids develop their skills, raise the town’s general awareness of the sport, and support both the boys and girls teams at GHS. We are new and have high hopes for a variety of activities in the future such as a middle school town tournament for public and private schools, a summer program for kids in high school, and game day promotional activities,”said Dan Kraninger. “This tournament is our jumping off point.”

The tournament draws 24 teams from area companies to battle it out for a 3-on-3 Championship title and trophy.
