To help provide support to the YWCA Domestic Abuse Services, the Junior League of Greenwich invites Greenwich residents to join our “Merry Meals” on Sunday, December 13, 2020.
Proceeds from this dinner will support the YWCA Domestic Abuse Services and will provide meals to these families in need.
Sadly, domestic abuse has risen during this pandemic. The YWCA offers free, confidential help to individuals and families facing domestic violence by offering a 24/7 hotline (203) 622-0003, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, crisis intervention, a civil legal clinic and other services. If you know of someone experiencing domestic violence, don’t be silent. Be supportive and offer to call the hotline with them. Your support may make a difference.
Your “Merry Meal” includes a “home cooked” meal prepared by Simply Delicious, a local mother-daughter team that specializes in local, fresh, seasonally inspired food and a bottle of wine from Cap, Cork & Cellar. With your purchase, we will provide a Merry Meal to a family who are survivors of domestic violence.
Merry Meals Menu:
Option A: Chicken Parmesan over Linguini, Harvest Garden Salad
Option B: Braised Short Ribs in Red Wine with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Vegetable Medley
Option C: (Vegan, Gluten and Dairy Free*) Butternut Squash Risotto, Kale Caesar Salad
Desserts
Meal for 2 includes Cheesecake and Mixed Berry Bites
Meal for 6 includes Flourless Chocolate Cake
(*Although the Risotto Dish is free from dairy and gluten, there is a risk of cross-contamination as the kitchen also prepares dishes including nuts, milk, eggs, gluten, etc.)
Orders can be picked up “Drive Thru” style, at the Junior League of Greenwich Headquarters, 231 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, Sunday, Dec. 13, between 4:00-6:00.
Or you can have contactless, doorstep delivery between 4-5:00pm for an extra fee.
