Garden Catering Raises Funds for Local Nonprofits that Support Families with Children Battling Cancer

Garden Catering invites the community to support a cause that is very near and dear to their hearts, “Queen Willa’s Countdown to the Bell.”

This January, the beloved chicken nugget brand is selling $5 coupon booklets with 100% of proceeds going to nonprofit organizations that uplift families with children diagnosed with cancer, LivFree, Circle of Care and Swim Across America – Fairfield County.

This cause is especially meaningful to the Garden Catering team as COO Tina Carpenteri’s daughter, Willa, was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2023. Since then, the community has rallied around their family. The Circle of Care has supported Willa and her family with gift cards for gas, food, birthday presents, Christmas gifts and the ultimate room makeover! LivFree has supported by providing a moment of joy during Willa’s journey. The family was treated to The Lion King on Broadway and even had a behind-the-scenes tour from Scar himself!

Swim Across America Fairfield County dubbed their inaugural Kids Splash – Queen Willa’s Kids Splash – treating her like the queen she is!

Willa has stayed strong throughout her entire battle. She is nearing the finish line of her treatment plan when she will finally get to victoriously ring that bell! This fundraiser honors her final stretch, and highlights the local organizations that support families during the pediatric cancer journey.

The booklets will go on sale on Jan 13, 2025 in-store, in app and online here.

The booklets include coupons for delicious fan-favorites such as a free 1⁄4 pound of nuggets and the new Thai-GRRR nuggets, free mac bites, and $3 off any purchase. All coupons will be redeemable in February.

Garden Catering always encourages anyone who can to help raise crucial dollars for cancer research through organizations like Swim Across America Fairfield County, as well as the organizations highlighted this January who support the families battling pediatric cancer.
