Sponsored by the Town of Greenwich Shellfish Commission and the Bruce Museum First Sunday Science program, the Emily Catherine Fedorko Foundation will hold its “1st Annual Emsway Boating Safety Day” on Sunday, June 7, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at the Innis Arden Cottage, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich.

This fun, family event focuses on both youth and parent safe boater education.

The program features an instructional talk and demonstration given by the Town of Greenwich Marine Police, who will cover boat operation, towing and how to be equipped for and act in an emergency.

Ask and have your questions answered by the experts.

Refreshments include a raw bar of local shellfish, and the Bruce Museum Seaside Center will be open for visitors to the marine touch tank.

The event will continue to be held every year on the first Sunday of June at the Innis Arden Cottage.

All ages are welcome, but we especially encourage teens and pre-teens to learn the check points for safe boating. No reservations are required for this free program. However, if complimentary beach access is needed, participants should contact Cynthia Ehlinger at [email protected] by June 5.
