Quinn Sheehy ’26, a varsity basketball player at Brunswick School, successfully led a student-driven fundraising initiative on February 26 to support B*CURED, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing brain-cancer research.
The cause is deeply personal for Quinn. In 2013, he lost his grandmother, Kathryn Clauss, to brain cancer. Her memory served as the inspiration behind his decision to take action and find a way to contribute meaningfully to the fight against the disease.
Quinn designed custom t-shirts and organized their sale within the Brunswick community, with 100% of proceeds donated directly to B*CURED.
What began as an idea quickly grew into a teamwide effort, as his fellow varsity basketball players rallied behind the cause, helping sell shirts and proudly wearing the custom-designed shooting shirts during warmups before their highly anticipated game against local rival Greenwich Country Day School.
