Greenwich Police arrested a Bay Shore, NY man after an incident involving a vehicle collision crash on Aug 23, 2026.
Officers responded to 10 Hamilton Avenue on a report of a single car collision into a wall around 8:45pm.
The driver was identified as Nelson Ulises Herrera, 53.
Police said when they arrived on scene they were met by Mr. Herrera, who had crashed his vehicle while his juvenile daughter was in the backseat. Further, they said he failed standard field sobriety testing and was placed under arrest.
He was charged with:
Failure to Carry Operator License
OUI Motor Vehicle with Child < 18 Passenger
Failure to Drive Upon Right
Mr. Herrera’s bond was set at $50,000, which he was unable to post.
He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 4, 2026.
