Man Charged with Breach of Peace after Fight in Pizza Parlor

John Robert Kiley, 23, of 149a Byram Rd in Greenwich was arrested on Wednesday, Jan 11 after a fight at Fuzari Pizzeria on Mill Street in Byram.

According to Lt. Kraig Gray a witness flagged down a Greenwich Police officer on Mill Street after Mr Kiley fought with the owner of the pizzeria, who had asked him to leave because he was intoxicated, shouting and disturbing customers.

“The man ordered some food, was disturbing customers and was asked to leave,” Gray said. “The owner asked the man to leave because of his violent and tumultuous behavior. The witness said the suspect had been stumbling down Mill Street and believed him to be intoxicated because he was swearing and yelling, and for some reason had begun a fight with the victim.”

Gray said when the suspect saw the police officer he took off running. “After a brief foot pursuit he slipped and fell  in muddy ground against a chain link fence, and they were able apprehend him.”

Kiley was charged with Breach of Peace 2 and Assault 3. His $1,000 bond was reduced to a Promise to Appear by the CT Bail Commissioner. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 25, 2017.
