Lt. Daniel Allen, Homegrown Greenwich Boy, Departs Greenwich Police after 42 Years

Lt. Daniel Allen retired from Greenwich Police Dept on Tuesday, following a 42-year career that was preceded by a stint as a ‘summer special’ on Island Beach. Lt. Allen shared some of the highlights of his career, including work on tracking down Christian Gerhartstreiter, aka the fake Rockefeller, a kidnapping of a nine-year-old girl, and the collapse of the 1983 Mianus Bridge on I95.
