With a new coach John Marinelli at the helm, Greenwich High School’s football team made their season debut last Friday, bringing home a win against Trinity 42 to 38. This Saturday, the Cardinals’ first home football game resulted in a loss to the Darien Blue Wave, 51-28, but the spirit was undeniable.
Between the Varisty Cheerleaders and the relentless Cardinal Crazies, and the Pep Band, enthusiasm was everywhere.
This year, the cheerleaders are coached by Carmelina Castiglione, Shannon Donlon, and Danielle Carrizzo. The four captains are Estella Perrone, Victoria Sobeski, Courtney Nastahowski and Dakota Hirsch.
