Key Member of Greenwich Public Schools Administration to Depart

James Hricay has accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent for Business with the Pelham Union Free School District, Pelham, NY, effective July 1, 2017.

“I have appreciated and enjoyed the opportunity to work with my Greenwich Public Schools colleagues and in cooperation with Greenwich Town administrators and elected officials,” Mr. Hricay said. “I have learned a great deal about the importance of administration, Board of Education and Town leader relations in supporting the best educational outcomes for students. I will miss my Greenwich colleagues, but look forward to new opportunities with the Pelham Public Schools.”

An 18-year veteran public administrator, Mr. Hricay joined the Greenwich Public Schools in 2015. He has been responsible for overseeing the schools’ operating and capital budgets, finance, accounting and purchasing departments, facilities, transportation, residency, food services and school security.

In addition, during his time with the GPS he has expedited the changing school start  times initiative, assisted the building committee in the completion of the Music Instructional Space and Auditorium “MISA” building project for Greenwich High School, facilitated the start of the New Lebanon School building project, and managed several school field remediation programs.
