GHS Cardinals Football Grateful to the Community after Shutout Victory against Staples

From the Greenwich High School Football Program

We would like to extend our appreciation to the Town of Greenwich for your unwavering support for the 2024 season and always!

Last Sunday, the GHS varsity team brought home an unbelievable, underdog, shutout victory against rival Staples to advance to the CIAC Class LL State Championship Game.

The team would like to thank the cheerleading program, who inspire outstanding school spirit at every game. Thank you to the dance team for your talented half-time performances. The excellent GHS Pep Band makes the home field advantage even better! The dedicated student fans are the best in the conference.

We are exceptionally grateful for the local businesses providing meals, venues and donations to help make our program the best it can be. The generosity from our town is incredible.

Please come to support the football and cheer teams at 2:00pm Saturday, December 14. Bring your decorated cars, signs and streamers to the GHS parking lot as the police escort and buses head to Arute Field for the 6:30pm game. Then, we hope to see you at the big game that night!

We especially encourage our favorite fans, the GYFL and GYCL kids, to attend the sendoff and game.

Thank you, again, Greenwich! We hope to bring home another State Championship Victory to our great community.

Go Big Red!
