GEMS Explorer Post Open House set for Sept 20 at GEMS HQ

screen-shot-2016-09-15-at-8-00-45-amThe Greenwich EMS Explorer Post 911 high school club will be having an open house on Tuesday, September 20th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the GEMS headquarters located at 1111 East Putnam Ave.

High school students and their parents who are interested in learning about pre-hospital emergency medicine and health and wellness are welcome to come learn more about this energetic club.

Last year, students dedicated over 1,400 hours of community service at events including blood pressure drives, touch-a-trucks, CPR/First Aid classes and other community events. Additionally, students also go on educational field trips such as to hospitals, attend interesting presentations, and get hands on by learning things such as how to stitch a wound!

The Explorer Post is a fun and engaging club and we invite students and their families to come learn more about what we do. Any questions can be directed to Senior Explorer Post Advisor and Operations Manager Eirinn Rickard at (203)-637-7505 or you can email [email protected].
