The League of Women Voters of Greenwich and the Greenwich Alliance for Education invite you to an Education Forum: All You Need to Know about the Common Core on Tuesday, October 28 at 7:00pm at Central Middle School.
Featured speakers are Don Romoser, President of the Connecticut PTA, Dr. William McKersie, Superintendent, Greenwich Schools, Mrs. Irene Parisi, Assistant Superintendent for CIPL, Ms. Megan Roby, Social Studies teachers at Greenwich High School and Ms Kathleen Smith-Ramirez, teacher at North Mianus.
These experts will give the history and reasons for the Common Core Standards, Common Core curriculum examples, the implementation of the Common Core in Greenwich, and teaching the Common Core in high school and elementary school classrooms. A question and answer period will follow.
