Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrants Had Crack Cocaine in Her Pocket

Early Thursday morning Greenwich Police responded to a tip to the Narcotics Section that a woman wanted on outstanding warrants in Bridgeport was at a Lake Ave residence.

Around 1:30am, officers located Loren Ferraro, of 5 East Byway in Greenwich in the driveway of a local residence.

She was arrested on five outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court and probation violation.

According to Lt Slusarz, Ms. Ferraro, while being processing in the police station appeared to be hiding something. When asked what she was hiding, Ms. Ferraro produced a bag with 0.5 grams of crack cocaine. As a result she was additionally charged with Illegal Possession.

“When we arrest someone, we do a pa-down for weapons, so didn’t see it (the crack cocaine) until she was being processed at the police station,” Slusarz said.

The sum of the bonds issued for all the outstanding charges for Ms. Ferraro was $145,000, which she was unable to post. She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 9, 2018.
