Greenwich Police reported there were four stolen cars on July 27. One was a Kia stolen from Prospect Street.
A second car, an Audi, was stolen from Hunting Ridge Rd, also unlocked. The Audi was recovered unoccupied in Greenwich.
Also a Jeep and a Porsche were stolen from Will Merry Lane, both unlocked. The Jeep was recovered unoccupied in Greenwich.
Alto there were two reported thefts from vehicles, one on King Street on July 20 some time between 8:00pm and 10:00pm, and is not related to the car thefts. The vehicle had its window smashed and purses were stolen.
A second theft from a car occurred on Cognewaugh at 3:00am on July 27. It was unlocked and had purse stolen.
Greenwich Police urge residents not to leave valuables in their cars, and to lock them and bring the keys inside.
