Steamboat Rd Incident is a Reminder in Greenwich to Lock Your Cars

The morning of December 9, a resident contacted Greenwich Police to report that a suitcase left inside an unlocked Ford Explorer was rifled through during the overnight.

The owner found the suitcase the driveway. Also, the contents of the center console had been dumped out, though nothing was reported stolen. The resident reported finding the doors to the Ford Explorer left open.

Also, on Dec. 9 a 2004 Kia in the area had been rifled through as well.

Greenwich Police remind residents to keep their cars locked, and, as the holiday shopping season goes into full swing, they advise not to leave purchases in plain view inside their cars.
