Pediddle Leads to DUI Charge on Greenwich’s West Side

Many remember Pediddle, the one-headlight car game the passed the hours on road trips before iPads and smartphones, but it was no game on Monday around 1:00am when Greenwich Police officers on patrol observed a car traveling east on Hamilton Avenue with only one headlight illuminated.

Police stopped the car, a 1993 Mazda Miata, and through investigation determined that the driver, Peter Yardley, 62, of Church Street in White Plains had red glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages.

Yardley was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with DUI and Failure to Display Lights.

His bond was set at $250, which he was able to post and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 21, 2019.
