Man Arrested Second Time in a Week in GPD Lobby

Greenwich Police arrested a New York man for the second time this week after he acted out in the police station lobby.

Last week Gavin Wilson, 31, of 8th Ave in New York, NY was arrested at the police station when he came in to protest his car having been towed. Police determined there was an active arrest warrant for Wilson.

Back in July 2017 Wilson was arrested for failing to return a rental Hundai to Enterprise Rent a Car. His charges were Larceny 1 and Criminal Trover, which is unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police say that on Tuesday around 1:00pm, Wilson acted in an aggressive and irate manner in the police station lobby, yelling obscenities into the lobby telephone and jerking it so hard that it was damaged. Several civilians in the lobby were visibly disturbed by the incident.

Wilson was charged with Breach of Peace 2 and Criminal Mischief 4. He was released on a promise to appear and has a date in Stamford superior Court on Nov 21, 2018.
