Heroin Turns up During Motor Vehicle Stop on Delavan

On Monday, Nov 5 around 8:00pm, Greenwich Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a white work van in the area of Delavan Ave and Frontage Rd in Byram.

While investigating the stop further, it was learned that the driver, identified as Johan Wallenberg, 42, of Lowndes Ave in Norwalk, was in possession of narcotics.

Mr. Wallenberg voluntarily gave the narcotics to officers.

Police say the narcotics were consistent in packaging and appearance with heroin.

During a search of the van, a small black straw was found with white powdery residue on the inside consistent with a straw used to ingest drugs nasally.

Wallenberg was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Narcotics.

He was released on a written promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 19, 2018.
