Greenwich Police Announce Drug Bust in Quarry Knoll

Greenwich Police Department arrested four people following an investigation into the selling of fentanyl in Quarry Knoll, which is Greenwich Housing Authority property.

Police said that their Narcotics Section developed information that Greenwich resident Robin Repaci, 61, of #43 Quarry Knoll and Luis Pena were actively selling fentanyl and crack cocaine to people in Greenwich.

On Wednesday at 5:00am detectives and patrol officers set up surveillance on the residence.  

They observed Eric Labella, 43, of 4 Fairview Place, Port Chester, enter the home and leave after a brief period.  

Officers stopped Labella and found in his possession four bags of suspected fentanyl.  

Labella advised he just purchased the narcotic substance from the resident.  Labella was arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons for one count of 21a-279 C Possession of a Controlled Substance with a court date of Sept 8, 2023.  Officers released Labella from custody after the issuance of the summons.

On Wednesday at approximately 5:47am, Greenwich Police served a search warrant on the residence of #43 Quarry Knoll and its resident, Robin Repaci.  

Officers located and seized approximately 6.1 ounces of cocaine, 4.7 ounces of fentanyl, 18.5 ounces of a cutting agent, and prescription pills.  

As a result, Officers arrested the following people;

Lauren Demane, 46, of 37 Chapel St in Greenwich, was inside the residence to purchase drugs. Found on her person was a single bag of a rock-like substance suspected to be crack cocaine.  She also possessed two hypodermic needles used to inject fentanyl.  

Ms Demane was issued and released on a misdemeanor summons with a court date of Sept 8, 2023 for one count of 21a-279 C Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of 21a-267 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  

Robin Repaci was charged with the following;

  • 1 count – 21a-267(a) Use of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 1 count  – 21a-277(a)(1) Sale of Narcotics Substance
  • 7 counts – 21a-277(a1A++) Possession with intent to sell narcotics – 2nd Offense
  • 1 count – 21a-277c Poss Drug Paraphernalia Drug Factory Situation
  • 7 counts – 21a-279(a)(3) Poss Control Substance 3rd Offense

Police also arrested Luis Pena, 54, of 2701 Kingsbridge Terrace Apt 312, Bronx, NY 10463. 

Police say Mr. Pena is a convicted felon with a history of selling narcotics.  Pena also had an active extraditable felony arrest warrant issued by the NYPD.  

Pena was charged with the following:

  • 1 count – 21a-267(a) Use of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 1 count – 21a-277(a)(1) Sale of Narcotics Substance
  • 7 counts – 21a-277(a1A++) Possession with intent to sell narcotics – 2nd Offense
  • 1 count – 21a-277c Poss Drug Paraphernalia Drug Factory Situation
  • 7 counts – 21a-279(a)(3) Poss Control Substance 3rd Offense

Repaci was released on a written promise to appear with a court date of Sept 8, 2023.  Pena was unable to post his $100,000 bond and was held at the Greenwich Police Department pending arraignment on Thursday at Stamford Superior Court.  

The Greenwich Police Dept say their goal is to lower the overdose incidents in Greenwich using a strategy that synchronizes the efforts of Public Education, Treatment Services, and Targeted Enforcement. The Greenwich Police Dept works closely with other law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.  The Department will continue to foster strong relationships with the surrounding in-state and out-of-state police departments to identify opioid distributors who supply Greenwich drug abusers and the surrounding Fairfield County Towns.
