On Aug 23, Greenwich Police arrested a Bay Shore, NY man after a single car crash that occurred in the area of 10 Hamilton Avenue in Chickahominy.
Police said around 8:45pm multiple officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision into a wall.
Upon arrival officers were met by Mr. Herrera, who crashed his vehicle while his juvenile daughter was in the back seat. Police said he failed standard field sobriety testing and was arrested and charged with:
• Failure to Carry Operator License
• OUI Motor Vehicle with Child <18 Passenger
• Failure to Drive Upon Right
Nelson Ulises Herrera, 53,
Mr. Herrera’s bond was set at $50,000.
He was unable to post his bond and remained in police custody.
He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 4, 2026.
