RTM Rejects Gift of George HW Bush Statue

The statue was proposed to be located in a circle outside the entrance to the Havemeyer building where today there is a tree. After a motion to postpone indefinitely was unsuccessful, a motion on the substitute resolution to accept the statute gift failed: 81 yes, 110 no, 5 abstentions.

June 16 designated was Poll Worker Appreciation Day and about 125 poll workers attended an outdoor dinner on the patio of town hall in their honor.

37th Annual One Mile Swim Returns to Greenwich Point to Support Water Safety and Swim Lesson Scholarships

On Saturday, July 11, swimmers of all ages and abilities will take to the waters of Long Island Sound for the 37th Annual One Mile Swim at Greenwich Point. Co-hosted by the Greenwich Swim Committee and the YMCA of Greenwich, the longtime community tradition raises funds to support swim lesson scholarships and water safety initiatives that help keep local children safe in and around the water.

YWCA Greenwich Announces Enrollment for the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Preschool Center

YWCA Greenwich is now enrolling students for the 2026–2027 academic year at the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Preschool Center, a nationally recognized early childhood education program serving children ages 15 months to 5 years old. Licensed by Connecticut’s Office of Early Childhood and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the preschool provides a nurturing and engaging learning environment designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners.
