P&Z Watch: Proposed 8-30g in Chickahominy Two-Family R6 Zone to Make 3-Family Must Be “Comparable”

The P&Z commission pushed back on an applicant who wants to add a stove to make a basement finished space that is 55% (675 sq ft) the size of two market rate units in the house (1,041 and 1,621 sq ft), noting 8-30g requires affordable units be comparable in size and finishes.

New Owner, New Name: Stone Bridge Wine & Spirits Caters to Customers

Peter Shah recently took over the liquor store at the intersection of Sheephill Road and Palmer Hill Road, renaming it Stone Bridge Wine & Spirits in honor of the adjacent historic bridge over the Mianus River. The store, previously LaBella's Fine Wine & Spirits for 16 years, is located at the juncture of several different neighborhoods, but technically is in Riverside.
