I-95 Greenwich PEL Study Meeting: Envying Stamford Noise Walls, Desire for Rte 1 Bike Lanes, Pedestrian Safety

Last week the CT Dept of Transportation and consultants from CDM Smith hosted a workshop about the Greenwich I-95 PEL study at GHS on Wednesday, followed by a Zoom meeting on Thursday. PEL stands for Planning and Environment and Linkages. Greenwich residents have been following progress closely, and during the Zoom meeting they were eager participants. Selectmen Meeting To Feature Proposed Dog Park in Byram

The Nov 26 Selectmen meeting agenda includes a proposal for a dog park in Byram Park, in a grassy area along Ritch Ave. The estimated cost is $30,000 and there is mention of a possible gift for a public private partnership. There is no on-street parking allowed so users of the park would rely on the 8 spots by the park gatehouse that are shared with tennis and pickleball players. Continue Reading →
