An Albin 28 ft center cockpit cruiser, “Thumper,” belonging to Morgan Jenkins of Greenwich Harbor was a casualty of Wednesday night’s strong winds.

Mr. Jenkins kept the boat on a dock adjacent to Indian Harbor Yacht Club. In the storm the dock ripped off the sea wall, drifted downwind and bumped off a crane and barge anchored in the refuge before coming on the rocks of the rip rap sea wall along with the dock it had been tied to. The wind was recorded at 70 knots, coming from the due south direction – the most damaging points on the compass for Greenwich.
