Custom Loudspeaker and Percussion Manufacturer to Open Showroom in Greenwich

Meliti Acoustics, a Connecticut-based loudspeaker and percussion manufacturer, will be opening a showroom in Greenwich.

The store will showcase handmade loudspeakers, solid wood drums, sound absorbers and sound diffusers. Additionally, Meliti Acoustics will offer acoustics consultations and media/listening room design and installation.

Mike Meliti, owner of Meliti Acoustics, a professionally-trained audio engineer, woodcraftsman and drummer, has melded his talents and passions to create loudspeakers and drums that are sonically superior and visually stunning. He has devoted much research and time into creation of each pair of speakers and set of drums. Meliti prides himself on “pushing the envelope” with regard to some designs, such as that of Aria, a three-way omni-directional/bi-directional loudspeaker that stands just under six feet. Meliti also commits himself to remaining loyal to tradition by offering clients the comforting and familiar bookshelf and floor-standing models, but he adds his own twist–the finest domestic and exotic wood veneers, intricate inlays, and even such precious metals as bronze and copper. The same holds true for Meliti’s percussion line: solid wood staves of hand-selected exotic and domestic woods, a wide array of hardware to select from, and a custom 30-step finishing process for stains and clear coat applications.

“Nothing we make is mass-produced,” Meliti said. “Every product we create is made by us, by hand, in our shop in Connecticut. We believe that we exceed our clients’ expectations with our quality craftsmanship and sound expertise.” Meliti Acoustics works closely with clients to meet their individual sense of style and budgetary needs.

“Our loudspeaker and drum lines are available at different price points that will satisfy the requirements of both individual musicians and music lovers. At Meliti Acoustics, it is understood that music sets the backdrop to life.
