Summer Long Road Closure and Detour Announced for Pemberwick Road

The Town of Greenwich, Department of Public Works, announced that starting Monday, June 28, a portion of Pemberwick Road (between Comly Avenue and Halock Drive) will be closed.

Detour: Moshier Street, Weaver Street, Hawthorne Street North, and Grey Rock Drive.

Provided good weather for construction, Pemberwick Road is projected to reopen at the end of August.

Due to sections of a retaining wall supporting the southbound lane of Pemberwick Road in poor condition, this project consists of reconstructing two cast-in-place concrete retaining walls and installing new code compliant guide rails.

Watch for signage and detours posted by Town of Greenwich’s Highway Division.

For the safety of the workers, please stay alert, slow down, and drive the detoured route.

Construction plans were prepared by GM2 Associates, Inc, of Glastonbury, CT and the contractor for this project is A. Vitti Excavators, LLC of Stamford, CT.
