Rte 1 Resurfacing Coincides with First Day of School: Indian Field Rd to Stamford Line

resurfacing the roadMilling and resurfacing on a 1.14 mile stretch of Rte 1  in Greenwich will start Tuesday night September 1 from Indian Field Rd to the Stamford line.

The entire project, which includes milling and resurfacing will tentatively conclude on Sept. 25.

Milling starts Tuesday night, Sept. 1 and finishes Tuesday morning of Sept. 15.

Resurfacing begins Tuesday night Sept. 15 and ends the morning of Friday Sept. 25.

According to the State DOT, drivers can expect lane closures on Rte 1 from Indian Field Rd to the Stamford town Line.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule is 7:30am til 5:00am from Sunday night through Friday morning, and 9:30pm to 6:30am on Friday nights.

The DOT said modifications or extensions to the schedule may be necessary due to weather or other unforeseen conditions. Drivers are asked to drive at a safe speed through the project area.
