Next for the Wrecking Ball in Greenwich: Four Square on Milbank

Another two family house on Milbank Ave been noticed for demolition with the Town of Greenwich building department.

The house at 100 Milbank dates back to 1908 and is in the R6 zone. The property is .13 acres.

Work on the original house had been ongoing for weeks before a stop work order was issued by the Town’s Building Dept in late May.

In June an affidavit of notification of demolition filed in the building department – required for buildings or structures built before 1940 and more than 500 sq ft – indicates the property is owned by Howard Ripps, 100 Mill Partners, LLC at 100 Mill Street in Greenwich.

The property sold from from 100 Milbank Avenue LLC to 100 Mill Partners LLC on July 24, 2025 for $1,750,000.

Any objection to the demolition filed in writing with the DPW Division of Buildings within 45 days will double the demolition waiting period for established by Town ordinance to 90 days.

The initial 45-day waiting period started on June 6 and ends on July 20, 2026. The first day the permit will be eligible for issuance is July 21, 2026.
