Make Your Dog Happy with Bones from Fleishers

Fleishers Craft ButcheryAt the Monger Mingle on Thursday night, guests at Fleishers Craft Butchery learned how the nose-to-tail butcher works only with whole animals that have been ethically raised on pasture on small, local farms.

The quality of the meat from Fleishers reflects where it comes from, as well as how it is processed, raised, cut and sold.

But it was also nice for dog owners to learn they can always pop in and get some bones to bring home for their happy dogs.

On Friday morning, Matt gave us a choice of frozen or raw. He went into a refrigerated room and gathered knuckle and marrow bones and cut them as we watched. The prices — $5.99 per lb for marrow bones, and $2.99 for knuckle and neck bones — are lower than bones from local pet stores, and it’s nice to know exactly where they came from.
